This is precisely the case for Carlotta Lavizzari, one of the leading figures of the Collettivo di Pittrici (Women’s Art Collective), currently showcasing their work until May 30th, 2026, in the historic halls of Palazzo Pretorio in Sondrio.
Inspiration Born on the Trails
Among the works on display, the golden thread running through Lavizzari’s style is the profound experience lived along the Cammino Mariano delle Alpi (the Marian Way of the Alps). This is not merely a visual chronicle of landscapes, but an intimate painted diary. Carlotta traversed the ancient paths connecting Marian devotion to the breathtaking beauty of Valtellina, finding a new form of light at every stage—from the silence of the woods to the majesty of the sanctuaries.
The Collective: A Dialogue in the Feminine
The exhibition, held under the patronage of the City of Sondrio, is not the story of a single voice. Alongside Carlotta Lavizzari, the public can admire the artistic visions of Maria Grazia Marilyn Folini, Anna Maria Goldoni, Maria Christine Niessen, and Giulietta Salin.
