Are you a hiking enthusiast, a travel professional, or simply eager to discover the hidden gems of the Italian Alps? This year, the Marian Way of the Alps (Cammino Mariano delle Alpi) invites you to a dedicated educational event focused entirely on the Eastern Way (Via Orientale).
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand a route that beautifully blends spiritual heritage with majestic alpine landscapes, all while accompanied by expert local guides and volunteers.

🗓️ Day Schedule
The day is designed to offer a perfect balance of cultural insight, active hiking, and local food tasting.

8:30 AM – Meetup & Briefing We gather at the Oratorio Don Bosco in Bormio. We will kick off with an introductory training session hosted by APF Valtellina, which is key to understanding the historical and cultural value of this pilgrimage trail.

9:15 AM – Setting Off Lace up your boots as we leave Bormio behind. The route winds through highly scenic spots and breathtaking alpine vistas:

Bormio ➔ Sassello Church ➔ Uzza ➔ Viola Trail ➔ S. Gallo ➔ Oga ➔ Calosio ➔ Cepina

12:00 PM – A Taste of Valtellina in Oga Halfway through our journey, we will take a refreshing break. Enjoy a tasting of local, zero-km products hosted by the David’s Farm agricultural estate in Oga—the perfect way to recharge with authentic local flavors.

3:00 PM – Arrival in Cepina Conclusion of the hike and final farewells.

What to bring?
We recommend comfortable layered clothing, hiking shoes or boots with good grip, a reusable water bottle, and a waterproof jacket just in case the mountain weather changes.
